After 3 minutes, Miguel Garcia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aguia and the Cancinhola players grew even worse after the yellow card. 4 minutes into the match, Cancinhola's Gonçalo Carvalho broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Pedro Faro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th minute Pedro Faro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aguia's Oliveira Tavares got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tomás Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. If Vítor Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cancinhola's Lúcio Resende played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Cruz in the 31st minute of play. Raul Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Lúcio Resende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raul Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

57 minutes into the match, Cancinhola's goal looked a bit too open when Vítor Cruz came free, but Lúcio Resende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute, Vítor Cruz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aguia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Lúcio Resende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Cruz in the 69th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Fernando Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 72 minutes into the game, Pedro Faro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alberto Vieira. Pedro Faro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Duarte Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Vieira having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Aguia's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Duarte Garcia fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 82nd match minute, Aguia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raul Barros to maneuver through the defense. Tomás Ramos hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 90th minute, Vítor Cruz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lúcio Resende was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. In the 94th minute of the match Cristiano Antunes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lúcio Resende showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Aguia had won after a very even match.
