The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gabriel Pires hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 4th minute, Correeira's Alexandre Oliveira dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Heitor Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from António Viana in the 9th minute of the match. In the 10th match minute, Correeira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Monteiro to maneuver through the defense. 23 minutes into the match, Agudos FC's Fábio Setúbal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Heitor Silva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Correeira getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Humberto Moniz hit a great ball. In the 24th match minute, Agudos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fábio Setúbal to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rdth minute of the game Rogério Mendes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Agudos FC's Jorge Porto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If António Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 36 minutes into the match, Fábio Setúbal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Heitor Silva. Correeira's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fábio Setúbal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 46th minute, Carlos Porto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rogério Mendes made a kick off. When António Viana came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Agudos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that António Viana couldn't finish the play. In the 60th minute, Alfredo Monteiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Correeira fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers António Viana in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Heitor Silva saved Correeira from getting behind. Cristóvão Sá kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Rui Amorim charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rui Amorim the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A hard shot by Cândido Leão from long distance, 73 minutes into the match, got Heitor Silva's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. António Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If António Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fábio Setúbal's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 86thth minute, Heitor Silva skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When António Viana came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Agudos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that António Viana couldn't finish the play. In the 93rd minute, Gabriel Pires got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. António Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fábio Setúbal scored 2-3 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Heitor Silva, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Agudos FC played a much better game than Correeira and deserved their victory. The Correeira players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
