Rui Viana's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sebastião Andrade read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. If Vítor Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute, Succaes's José Castro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mário Bessa. Mário Bessa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. José Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mário Bessa having to interfere. If Vítor Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the match, Rebelhos FC's Nuno Monteiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sebastião Andrade narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sebastião Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Monteiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vítor Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jorge Santarém charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jorge Santarém the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 47 played minutes Rebelhos FC got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Santarém. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rui Viana stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rodrigo Leiria hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Ricardo Matias kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, Rebelhos FC's Rui Viana sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sebastião Andrade narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nuno Monteiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Sebastião Andrade made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Castro in the 83rd minute of play forced Rebelhos FC's goalkeeper Mário Bessa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastião Andrade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Viana, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 86th minute, José Castro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. José Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
