Raul Jesus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Delgado having to interfere. Alexandre Aguiar spun around in front of the goal 6 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Coico's goal. After a rather tough play, Coico's Afonso Veiga got a free kick in the 9th minute. Marga FC's Ricardo Valente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Veiga in the 12th minute of play. Abel Lisboa charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abel Lisboa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Marga FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Abel Lisboa hit a great ball. After 15 minutes of play, Coico's Nuno Nogueira made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardo Valente was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Marga FC's Ricardo Valente got control of the ball when Nuno Nogueira tried to sneak it across the goal line. 21 minutes into the game, Marga FC's Raul Jesus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. António Delgado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Ricardo Valente showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso Veiga in the 24th minute of the match. Nuno Nogueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Ricardo Valente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexandre Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afonso Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Valente having to interfere. When Cláudio Oliveira fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. António Delgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raul Jesus in the 40th minute of play. Abel Lisboa was slow to take the kick. During this time Marga FC's players had a chance to rest. Vítor Gonçalves thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished António Delgado, a very annoying self made goal in the 52nd minute which led to 1-3. After the first half Marga FC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Afonso Veiga was the one to do the kick off. In the 61st minute, Alexandre Aguiar made a precise shot to the right of António Delgado. Coico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. After a defensive mix-up in Marga FC's zone, Gaspar Oliveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Valente came out of the goal and Gaspar Oliveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Afonso Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Ricardo Valente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raul Jesus might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over António Delgado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raul Jesus ran back to his position shaking his head. Lourenço Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Ricardo Valente didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Afonso Veiga went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. In the 80th minute, one of Coico:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Coico. Abel Lisboa shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Francisco Valente hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. If Afonso Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ricardo Valente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Nogueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Coico's zone, Alexandre Aguiar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. António Delgado came out of the goal and Alexandre Aguiar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Afonso Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Valente having to interfere. Alexandre Aguiar succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-5 in the 100th playminute. The Coico supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Marga FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Marga FC.
