Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Sebastião Campos got the match started through his kick off. The referee ignored SC Mindelo's protests and gave João Castro a yellow card for diving instead. Armando Guarda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Queirós having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Jaime Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Taboabela's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente Queirós breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Armando Guarda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. When Bernardo Dias came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the SC Mindelo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardo Dias couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute, Bernardo Dias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, SC Mindelo's Vicente Queirós got control of the ball when Jaime Andrade tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Armando Guarda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vicente Queirós was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Bernardo Dias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Vicente Queirós managed to avoid a goal in the 84thth minute, when SC Taboabela's Jaime Andrade fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Armando Guarda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
