An unexpected shot in the 7th minute by Mário Esteves got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 12 minutes into the game, Porca's Rogério Moura nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joel Lisboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Sarabagos FC's Joel Lisboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogério Moura in the 18th minute of play. In the 21st match minute, Porca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cláudio Figueiredo to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the match, Sarabagos FC's Duarte Brás broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 25th minute António Tavares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mário Esteves struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Afonso Moreira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sarabagos FC. If Joaquim Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Castro in the 40th minute of play forced Sarabagos FC's goalkeeper Joel Lisboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the game, one of Sarabagos FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rogério Moura to strike the kick off in the second half. António Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Moreira having to interfere. Mário Esteves took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Afonso Moreira. Afonso Moreira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. 71 minutes into the game, Nuno Marques was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Porca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sarabagos FC the free kick. 77 minutes into the match, Porca's goal looked a bit too open when Mário Esteves came free, but Afonso Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Porca's Nuno Marques got a free kick in the 81st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by António Tavares in the 86th minute of play forced Porca's goalkeeper Afonso Moreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Afonso Moreira came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Sarabagos FC's António Tavares. But to his dismay, António Tavares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. 90 minutes into the match, Porca's goal looked a bit too open when António Tavares came free, but Afonso Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vítor Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Joel Lisboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Sarabagos FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Paulo Fontes hit a great ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
