The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 minutes, Nuno Marques mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Porca and the Picarra FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Porca getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Nuno Marques hit a great ball. The supporters of Picarra FC booed when Porca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Coimbra didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Manuel Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Porca's Rogério Moura got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. André Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogério Moura in the 23rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cláudio Figueiredo during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27th minute there was a penalty for Picarra FC. José Cabral stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Afonso Moreira. 1-0. In the 31st match minute, Porca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Coimbra to maneuver through the defense. Rogério Moura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. André Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee ignored Porca's protests and gave Cristiano Brás a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Porca's Cristiano Brás got a free kick in the 45th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 85th minute, Rogério Moura fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of André Vale, passed just outside the right post. If Vítor Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 92 minutes, Xavier Amorim mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Picarra FC and the Porca players grew even worse after the yellow card. Xavier Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Picarra FC had won after a very even match.
