The supporters of Agucadoira FC booed when Azedia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Leiria didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Domingos Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Azedia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Domingos Esteves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Pacheco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexandre Cruz during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 20th minute of the game. One of Azedia FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Agucadoira FC:s goal. Azedia FC's Adelino Miranda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Azedia FC from getting a goal against them. Tomás Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ricardo Pacheco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingos Esteves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Vasco Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the match, Azedia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Macedo came free, but Adelino Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomás Macedo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alfredo Leiria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Ricardo Pacheco made a huge save. Carlos Matias's late challenge caught a Agucadoira FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Matias helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Azedia FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Carlos Matias hit a great ball. In the 54th minute of the match Luís Martins sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adelino Miranda skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 55 minutes, Adelino Santarém managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Agucadoira FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adelino Santarém was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With splendid footwork Vasco Pires arrived in front of goal to shoot 2-1 by the left pole in the game's 59th minute. Domingos Esteves struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Ricardo Pacheco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Azedia FC. Ricardo Pacheco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vasco Pires in the 69th minute of the match. Ricardo Pacheco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vasco Pires, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Azedia FC's zone, Tomás Macedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adelino Miranda came out of the goal and Tomás Macedo tried to chip the ball over his head. Adelino Santarém fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adelino Miranda having to interfere. Humberto Mota kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, Azedia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Henrique Fonseca came free, but Adelino Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adelino Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Macedo in the 94th minute of the match.
