Duarte Carneiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Cunha having to interfere. After some careless play in the Loreto FC defense, Duarte Carneiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Daniel Cunha. The Loreto FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daniel Cunha should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Queirós in the 27th minute of play forced SC Macedinho's goalkeeper Rui Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Loreto FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. João Dias hit a great ball. In the 29th minute, Gabriel Faro sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Loreto FC's Daniel Cunha didn't even have to move. After a rather tough play, Loreto FC's Sandro Baptista got a free kick in the 30th minute. SC Macedinho's Duarte Carneiro got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 41st minute Joel Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute, SC Macedinho's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Carlos Nascimento fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 46th of the match, Joel Queirós tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Rui Vieira got in the way and made a wonderful save. In the 47th minute, Joel Queirós fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After the first half SC Macedinho were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Duarte Carneiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by SC Macedinho's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. João Dias was slow to take the kick. During this time Loreto FC's players had a chance to rest. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Duarte Carneiro in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniel Cunha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Macedinho's goalkeeper Rui Vieira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
