The referee ignored Nesperido's protests and gave António Brás a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Nesperido getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. António Brás hit a great ball. In the 26th minute Armando Abreu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Setúbal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ribeiradio's Gabriel Garcia got a free kick in the 27th minute. Vicente Setúbal came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Nesperido's Armando Abreu. But to his dismay, Armando Abreu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. João Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute, Alexandre Matos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute, Armindo Correia sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ribeiradio's Vicente Setúbal didn't even have to move. Armindo Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Coimbra in the 45th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bruno Coimbra in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armindo Leão saved Nesperido from getting behind.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Armando Abreu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. António Moutinho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Vicente Setúbal made a huge save. 81 minutes into the match, Nesperido's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Coimbra came free, but Armindo Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Augusto Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Gabriel Neves, 83 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If João Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Nesperido's Armando Abreu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. If Bruno Coimbra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
