With an extended leg and a bit of luck Simão Esteves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Diamantino Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simão Esteves having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duarte Melo in the 18th minute of play forced SC Lavadoures's goalkeeper Abel Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 25th minute by Joaquim Reis got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 25th minute, Joaquim Reis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Portinho FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Duarte Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Duarte Melo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Abel Antunes. That made the score 2-0 in the 35 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Duarte Melo made the kick off in the second half. If Diamantino Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amílcar Borges hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After having played for 63 minutes, Joaquim Reis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Portinho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquim Reis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 67 minutes into the game, Portinho FC's Joaquim Reis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Abel Antunes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Joaquim Reis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. SC Lavadoures's Abel Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Reis in the 93rd minute of play. Simão Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Amaro in the 96th minute of the match.
