Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sérgio Leão took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, SC Benagil's Miguel Azevedo got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Eduardo Amaral hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute Afonso Fontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. André Veiga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Delfim Vale read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Delfim Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sérgio Leão, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 16 minutes into the game, Miguel Azevedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Benagil's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bostelinhos the free kick. In the 16th minute, one of SC Benagil:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Benagil. Domingos Campos walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Bostelinhos's Jacinto Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mário Henriques in the 20th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Mário Henriques managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Benagil's supporters rose to their feet, but Mário Henriques was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacinto Reis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bostelinhos's Jacinto Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armindo Fonseca in the 24th minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, SC Benagil's Mário Henriques sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacinto Reis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cláudio Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Jacinto Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cláudio Porto in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacinto Reis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jacinto Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cláudio Porto in the 31st minute of play. Mário Henriques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Reis having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lourenço Cunha during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lourenço Cunha hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Afonso Fontes, 39 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 43rd minute Sérgio Leão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delfim Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mário Henriques to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes Bostelinhos got a freekick which was hit by Domingos Campos. Bostelinhos's Jacinto Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Fontes in the 53rd minute of play. If Mário Henriques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 57 played minutes Bostelinhos got a freekick which was hit by Alexandre Aguiar. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bostelinhos fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 58th minute. Penalty! The referee gave SC Benagil a penalty, 61 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Afonso Fontes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Bostelinhos's Jacinto Reis. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sérgio Leão in the 64th minute of play forced SC Benagil's goalkeeper Delfim Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, SC Benagil's Armindo Fonseca got a free kick in the 65th minute. André Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Delfim Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, André Veiga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Delfim Vale. SC Benagil's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that André Veiga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Delfim Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Veiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cláudio Porto got free with Jacinto Reis in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Delfim Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sérgio Leão in the 91st minute of the match. Delfim Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sérgio Leão, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. SC Benagil were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
