Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Domingos Moniz kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Óscar Brás in the 6th minute of play forced Cardeira's goalkeeper Carlos Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Engenho FC's João Sousa got control of the ball when Paulo Andrade tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Domingos Moniz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving João Sousa. That made the score 1-0 in the 10 minute of play. In the 13th minute, Armando Setúbal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cardeira's Henrique Matias couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 14th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Engenho FC. After 15 played minutes Engenho FC got a freekick which was hit by Armando Setúbal. Afonso Gaspar struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Carlos Pinheiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Engenho FC. 20 minutes into the game, Afonso Gaspar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Carlos Pinheiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 23rd match minute, Cardeira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingos Baptista to maneuver through the defense. 24 minutes into the match, Cardeira's goal looked a bit too open when Óscar Brás came free, but Carlos Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Domingos Moniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Sousa having to interfere. The supporters of Cardeira booed when Engenho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Setúbal didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Óscar Brás in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Pinheiro saved Cardeira from getting behind. After some careless play in the Cardeira defense, Óscar Brás kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Pinheiro. The Cardeira fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Pinheiro should have stopped the shot. João Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingos Moniz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Óscar Brás received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Carlos Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Engenho FC's Óscar Brás sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlos Pinheiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 46th minute, Domingos Baptista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Óscar Brás made a kick off. After 54 minutes of play Engenho FC's Armando Setúbal was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Armando Setúbal kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Domingos Moniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. João Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingos Moniz in the 58th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Domingos Moniz in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg João Sousa saved Engenho FC from getting behind. 63 minutes into the match, Cardeira's goalkeeper Carlos Pinheiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Afonso Gaspar. After having played for 66 minutes, Paulo Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cardeira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Andrade was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Domingos Moniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Afonso Gaspar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Carlos Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abel Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Pinheiro having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Andrade in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg João Sousa saved Engenho FC from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Afonso Gaspar got free with Carlos Pinheiro in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Afonso Gaspar might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlos Pinheiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Afonso Gaspar ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Engenho FC's goalkeeper João Sousa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Óscar Brás's late challenge caught a Cardeira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Óscar Brás helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Cardeira booed when Engenho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Óscar Brás didn't get a good kick on the ball. Engenho FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
