Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) When Hélder Queirós fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sacavem's protests and gave Hélder Queirós a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Sacavem's Hélder Queirós got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Cristóvão Sousa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alberto Coimbra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Cristóvão Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Coimbra having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Sacavem's zone, Domingos Fernandes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Coimbra came out of the goal and Domingos Fernandes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alberto Coimbra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingos Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Domingos Fernandes managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Espinheiros's supporters rose to their feet, but Domingos Fernandes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberto Coimbra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Sacavem getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. João Soares hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristóvão Sousa in the 15th minute of play forced Sacavem's goalkeeper Alberto Coimbra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Coimbra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristóvão Sousa in the 19th minute of play. Eduardo Coimbra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raul Brito in the 22nd minute of the match. Oliveira Luz's late challenge caught a SC Espinheiros's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oliveira Luz helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Sacavem getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Oliveira Luz hit a great ball. If Raul Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Cristóvão Sousa made the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Vítor Morais mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sacavem and the SC Espinheiros players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 51st minute, Vítor Morais hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SC Espinheiros's Eduardo Coimbra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raul Brito in the 59th minute of play. Delfim Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Coimbra having to interfere. Domingos Fernandes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 66 minutes into the match, SC Espinheiros's goal looked a bit too open when Delfim Miranda came free, but Eduardo Coimbra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 66 minutes, Pedro Matias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Espinheiros and the Sacavem players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 66th match minute, SC Espinheiros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Matias to maneuver through the defense. Eduardo Coimbra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Delfim Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rd minute, Inácio Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 80 minutes into the game, Domingos Fernandes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Alberto Coimbra was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 86th minute of the match Vítor Morais shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eduardo Coimbra showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 88 minutes, Delfim Miranda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sacavem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Delfim Miranda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Raul Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute, Delfim Miranda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eduardo Coimbra was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
