After recieving a nice pass, Galaxes FC's Hugo Leão tried to score from far away in the 9th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 14 minutes into the match, Galaxes FC's Amadeu Cardoso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Artur Torres narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rogério Resende could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Artur Torres made a huge save. In the 18th minute, David Brás hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 19 minutes, Rogério Resende managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galaxes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rogério Resende was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Rogério Resende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alberto Ferreira struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Américo Miranda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Urqueira. If Amadeu Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberto Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Américo Miranda having to interfere. Rogério Resende could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Artur Torres made a huge save. Artur Torres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amadeu Cardoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Alberto Ferreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfredo Vale stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Domingos Antunes's late challenge caught a SC Urqueira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Domingos Antunes helped the player get up and apologised. 58 minutes into the game, one of Galaxes FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Mário Pedroso placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! 60 minutes into the match, Galaxes FC's goalkeeper Américo Miranda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Ferreira. Galaxes FC were furious when Domingos Antunes was red carded, 67 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 69th minute there was a penalty for SC Urqueira. Mário Pedroso stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Américo Miranda. 0-1. The supporters of Galaxes FC booed when SC Urqueira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandre Ferreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amadeu Cardoso kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the game, Alexandre Castro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galaxes FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Urqueira the free kick. A collision led to Galaxes FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. After 91 played minutes Galaxes FC got a freekick which was hit by Henrique Simões. Through an outstanding action, after 92 minutes, Américo Miranda successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Galaxes FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 94th minute, when Alfredo Vale scored to the left of an out of position Américo Miranda, making the score, 0-2. The Galaxes FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SC Urqueira were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
