With an all-out effort, SC Gontije's Lúcio Brito threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Pedro Gaspar, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 62nd minute Pedro Gaspar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Gaspar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lúcio Brito having to make a save. SC Gontije's Rafael Teixeira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save SC Gontije from getting a goal against them. The supporters of SC Gontije booed when Arengosas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Mota didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arengosas FC's Lúcio Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Cabral in the 86th minute of play. After 95 minutes, Gonçalo Vale mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Gontije and the Arengosas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Gontije's Gonçalo Vale got a free kick in the 95th minute. In the 97th minute, Arengosas FC's Joel Ramos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rafael Teixeira. Rafael Teixeira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Arengosas FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
