Heitor Miranda kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Alves in the 13th minute of play forced SC Gontije's goalkeeper Rafael Teixeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexandre Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonso Cabral in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Gaspar in the 19th minute of play forced SC Brunhedo's goalkeeper Alexandre Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexandre Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Gaspar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Simão Moreira hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Lourenço Lima took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alexandre Nascimento. SC Brunhedo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Afonso Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Nogueira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Rafael Teixeira made a huge save. Alberto Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Rafael Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 45 minutes, Alberto Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Brunhedo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Alves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Afonso Cabral managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Gontije's supporters rose to their feet, but Afonso Cabral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexandre Nascimento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 53rd minute, Afonso Cabral made a precise shot to the right of Alexandre Nascimento. SC Brunhedo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 59 minutes, Fábio Trindade mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Brunhedo and the SC Gontije players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 59 played minutes SC Brunhedo got a freekick which was hit by Fábio Trindade. Alberto Alves struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Rafael Teixeira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Brunhedo. 65 minutes into the match, SC Gontije's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Alves came free, but Rafael Teixeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alexandre Nascimento made an important save on a dangerous shot by Afonso Cabral in the 67th minute. If Pedro Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75thth minute of the game Luís Nogueira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Gontije's Rafael Teixeira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alexandre Nascimento was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alberto Alves hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Afonso Cabral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. The supporters of SC Gontije booed when SC Brunhedo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simão Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Afonso Cabral's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 96thth minute, Alexandre Nascimento skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SC Gontije walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
