Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Francisco Resende kicked off to start the match. Luís Correia kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Coval FC's goalkeeper João Ramos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. João Ramos came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Pala's Basílio Teixeira. But to his dismay, Basílio Teixeira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 21 minutes of play, Pala's Basílio Teixeira made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Ramos was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Humberto Moura came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Coval FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humberto Moura couldn't finish the play. Adelino Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Resende in the 26th minute of the match. João Ramos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Araújo in the 33rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Coval FC's zone, Basílio Teixeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Ramos came out of the goal and Basílio Teixeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. João Ramos was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Basílio Teixeira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Basílio Teixeira really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Araújo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Adelino Esteves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Humberto Moura in the 51st minute. If Francisco Resende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Francisco Resende managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coval FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Resende was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adelino Esteves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Resende in the 58th minute of play forced Pala's goalkeeper Adelino Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute, Joel Araújo made a precise shot to the right of João Ramos. Coval FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. João Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Araújo, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. João Ramos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Araújo in the 67th minute of play. Adelino Esteves made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Humberto Moura sent off a good shot on target. Humberto Moura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 75 minutes into the match, Pala's goalkeeper Adelino Esteves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Humberto Moura. After a defensive mix-up in Pala's zone, Humberto Moura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adelino Esteves came out of the goal and Humberto Moura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 88th minute, Humberto Moura got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Basílio Teixeira came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Pala fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basílio Teixeira couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Coval FC's goalkeeper João Ramos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pala's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
