Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the match, Aveleda FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Lopes came free, but Augusto Maia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélder Leite in the 11th minute of play forced SC Lanhoso's goalkeeper Gil Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Augusto Maia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Lopes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Augusto Maia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Catarino Pinto's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. After a rather tough play, SC Lanhoso's Nuno Neves got a free kick in the 30th minute. Augusto Maia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Lopes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Catarino Pinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Augusto Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute Paulo Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Lanhoso's Gil Vieira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save SC Lanhoso from getting a goal against them. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hélder Leite to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Aveleda FC's goalkeeper Augusto Maia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Catarino Pinto. Paulo Miranda might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gil Vieira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulo Miranda ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 64th minute, Hélder Leite made a precise shot to the right of Gil Vieira. SC Lanhoso's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. The supporters of SC Lanhoso booed when Aveleda FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mário Mota didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Catarino Pinto got free with Augusto Maia in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Delfim Mendes's late challenge caught a SC Lanhoso's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Delfim Mendes helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Aveleda FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Delfim Mendes hit a great ball. Humberto Dantas shot from long distance in the 71st minute, but Augusto Maia was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. The audience was convinced that Hélder Leite's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gil Vieira was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in SC Lanhoso's zone, Hélder Leite stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gil Vieira came out of the goal and Hélder Leite tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paulo Miranda struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Gil Vieira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aveleda FC. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Aveleda FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while SC Lanhoso had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
