Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joaquim Amorim in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nuno Carneiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 12 minutes into the match, Almegue's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Amorim came free, but Nuno Carneiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th match minute, SC Malhadancha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélder Branco to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute António Henriques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Viriato Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With splendid footwork Joaquim Amorim arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-0 by the left pole in the game's 41st minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when António Henriques stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If António Henriques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 56 played minutes SC Malhadancha got a freekick which was hit by Hélder Branco. Hélder Branco hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute António Henriques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Domingos Domingues kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Viriato Porto got free with Rafael Marques in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 66th minute Júlio Aleixo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
