Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Diamantino Brito started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Eduardo Teixeira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Magalhães in the 6th minute of play forced Lara FC's goalkeeper Simão Anjos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When SC Guimarais's Paulo Magalhães in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lara FC's goalie prevented a goal. Eduardo Teixeira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Simão Anjos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. José Nunes, 15 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 17th minute Eduardo Teixeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simão Anjos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 18 minutes, Diamantino Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lara FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diamantino Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gabriel Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Artur Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Guimarais's Paulo Magalhães got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Artur Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diamantino Brito in the 27th minute of play. Simão Anjos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Magalhães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eduardo Maia kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Eduardo Teixeira sped through Lara FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Simão Anjos. Simão Anjos came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Guimarais's Paulo Magalhães. But to his dismay, Paulo Magalhães quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Paulo Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eduardo Teixeira struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Simão Anjos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Guimarais. After the first half SC Guimarais were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

54 minutes into the match, Diamantino Brito had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Artur Reis. SC Guimarais's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diamantino Brito was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 58th minute, Diamantino Brito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Simão Anjos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Teixeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Eduardo Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Diamantino Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gabriel Brito blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Artur Reis having to make a save. If Paulo Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of SC Guimarais booed when Lara FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Macedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lara FC's Simão Anjos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Lara FC from getting a goal against them. With an all-out effort, SC Guimarais's Simão Anjos threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eduardo Teixeira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gabriel Brito in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Artur Reis saved SC Guimarais from getting behind. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
