The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Francisco Amaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Cunha in the 8th minute of play forced SC Secerigo's goalkeeper Bento Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, SC Secerigo's goal looked a bit too open when André Cunha came free, but Bento Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Rui Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to SC Cancela getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Lucas Pinto hit a great ball. In the 17th match minute, SC Cancela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Pinto to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute of the match Duarte Almeida shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gonçalo Queirós showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Miguel Almeida took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gonçalo Queirós. Gonçalo Queirós dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 31 minutes into the match, SC Secerigo's goal looked a bit too open when André Cunha came free, but Bento Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Amaro got free with Bento Cruz in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gonçalo Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. André Cunha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bento Cruz having to make a save. Miguel Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonçalo Queirós having to interfere. Gonçalo Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Silva in the 46th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When André Cunha came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the SC Cancela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Cunha couldn't finish the play. 61 minutes into the match, SC Secerigo's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Amaro came free, but Bento Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of SC Cancela booed when SC Secerigo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Ribeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute, Francisco Amaro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Cancela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Miguel Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Gonçalo Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Cancela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Miguel Almeida scored to the left of an out of position Gonçalo Queirós, making the score, 2-2. Gonçalo Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Rui Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the match, SC Secerigo's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Amaro came free, but Bento Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bento Cruz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Cunha in the 91st minute of the match. If André Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miguel Almeida could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Gonçalo Queirós made a huge save. The SC Secerigo players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented SC Cancela from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
