After a defensive mix-up in SC Cancela's zone, Tiago Figueiredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gonçalo Queirós came out of the goal and Tiago Figueiredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Francisco Amaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Pires having to interfere. With a little luck, SC Cancela's Gonçalo Queirós got control of the ball when Tiago Figueiredo tried to sneak it across the goal line. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 15th minute, André Cunha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Romeiros's goal looked a bit too open when André Cunha came free, but Jorge Pires reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. André Anjos hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Cristiano Barros took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jorge Pires. Romeiros's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Tiago Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Romeiros's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiago Figueiredo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gonçalo Queirós breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 26th match minute, SC Cancela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. When the match had been going on for 31 minutes, Romeiros's André Anjos got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Gonçalo Queirós. 34 minutes into the match, SC Cancela's goal looked a bit too open when Amadeu Neto came free, but Gonçalo Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tiago Figueiredo struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Gonçalo Queirós didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Romeiros. André Anjos was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 40th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 42nd minute, Romeiros's Tiago Figueiredo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gonçalo Queirós. Gonçalo Queirós yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Romeiros's Jorge Pires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Cunha in the 47th minute of play.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amadeu Neto was the one to do the kick off. André Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers André Cunha in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorge Pires saved Romeiros from getting behind. After 57 minutes of play, Romeiros's Amadeu Neto made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Romeiros's Jorge Pires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Cunha in the 67th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Romeiros's Armindo Anjos got a free kick in the 70th minute. André Cunha might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jorge Pires. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. André Cunha ran back to his position shaking his head. Francisco Amaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Jorge Pires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 76 played minutes Romeiros got a freekick which was hit by Armindo Anjos. Tiago Figueiredo hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Francisco Amaro in the 81stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jorge Pires, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Cancela's André Cunha slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jorge Pires. That made the score 3-2 after 82 minutes of play. In the 85th minute André Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
