The referee showed Inácio Nascimento the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulo Pacheco to make the kick off. SC Advagar's Gonçalo Magalhães got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Gonçalo Magalhães came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the SC Advagar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gonçalo Magalhães couldn't finish the play. Gaspar Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manuel Brás took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonçalo Magalhães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Mendalvo's Paulo Pacheco slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ricardo Fonseca. That made the score 0-2 after 76 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Eduardo Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Advagar's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduardo Lima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Brás breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of SC Advagar booed when Mendalvo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Setúbal didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mendalvo eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
