Eduardo Lima charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eduardo Lima the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SC Quinhendros booed when SC Advagar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, SC Quinhendros's Rodrigo Matias tried to score from far away in the 26th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Henrique Setúbal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eduardo Lima was shown his second yellow card after 29 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to SC Advagar getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Eduardo Lima hit a great ball. Ricardo Fonseca made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Henrique Setúbal sent off a good shot on target. Jorge Anjos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute, Sérgio Leão made a precise shot to the right of Ricardo Fonseca. SC Advagar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Ricardo Fonseca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henrique Setúbal in the 38th minute. Vítor Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaspar Ribeiro in the 42nd minute of play. Henrique Setúbal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Fonseca having to interfere. Sérgio Leão charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sérgio Leão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 46 played minutes SC Quinhendros got a freekick which was hit by Sérgio Leão. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gaspar Ribeiro to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes SC Quinhendros's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sebastião Brás who took care of the corner kick. SC Advagar's Sebastião Brás was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Vítor Sá in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 59th minute, Gonçalo Magalhães got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Gonçalo Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th match minute, SC Quinhendros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Anjos to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, SC Quinhendros's Vítor Sá got control of the ball when Gaspar Ribeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gaspar Ribeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vítor Sá read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Gaspar Ribeiro took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vítor Sá. Vítor Sá dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Vítor Sá was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Gaspar Ribeiro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gaspar Ribeiro really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. After 80 played minutes SC Advagar got a freekick which was hit by José Barbosa. Henrique Setúbal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gaspar Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Vítor Sá tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 94 played minutes SC Quinhendros got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Paredes. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SC Advagar eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
