António Martins started the match with the kick off. After having played for 6 minutes, Tomás Carneiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piares FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomás Carneiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedro Lima came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Queijada's Francisco Reis. But to his dismay, Francisco Reis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Tomás Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. Tomás Carneiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Afonso Lima. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomás Carneiro ran back to his position shaking his head. António Martins struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Afonso Lima didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piares FC. Afonso Lima made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Tomás Carneiro sent off a good shot on target. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alberto Vale made a kick off. After 53 played minutes Queijada got a freekick which was hit by Lourenço Garcia. 56 minutes into the match, Piares FC's António Martins sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Afonso Lima narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Piares FC's goalkeeper Pedro Lima, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pedro Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Vale in the 65th minute of play. Tomás Carneiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Lima having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Piares FC's zone, Alberto Vale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Lima came out of the goal and Alberto Vale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Alberto Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonso Lima didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomás Carneiro went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Tomás Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Afonso Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. António Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Queijada's Afonso Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Carneiro in the 90th minute of play. Pedro Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Vale in the 94th minute of the match. In the 96th minute, Xavier Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Queijada succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Piares FC had controlled the match.
