After a rather tough play, Arneirinhos FC's Cláudio Miranda got a free kick in the 3rd minute. With a little luck, Carricos's Joaquim Alves got control of the ball when Afonso Freitas tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Rafael Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute Luís Luz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Bento Moreira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquim Alves was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Luís Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. André Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Resende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Joaquim Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rafael Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Tavares having to interfere. After the first half Carricos were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Luís Luz made the kick off in the second half. When Luís Luz came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Carricos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Luz couldn't finish the play. 58 minutes into the match, Arneirinhos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Luz came free, but André Tavares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 60 minutes, Afonso Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arneirinhos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Afonso Freitas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Afonso Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arneirinhos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Afonso Freitas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquim Alves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 93rd match minute, Carricos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basílio Fontes to maneuver through the defense.
