Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Luís Luz started the match with the kick off. Afonso Aleixo charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Afonso Aleixo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Afonso Aleixo hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Sebastião Delgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carricos's goalkeeper Joaquim Alves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Caneiro's Emanuel Setúbal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Luz in the 10th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 16 minutes, Emanuel Setúbal successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to Carricos getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Rogério Silva hit a great ball. When Rafael Nunes fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carricos's protests and gave Rafael Nunes a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Caneiro booed when Carricos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Nunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, Daniel Domingues ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquim Alves was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Luz got free with Emanuel Setúbal in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Caneiro's Emanuel Setúbal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Caneiro from getting a goal against them. In the 37th minute Daniel Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquim Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Caneiro's zone, Luís Luz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emanuel Setúbal came out of the goal and Luís Luz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Caneiro were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 60th match minute, Carricos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonso Maia to maneuver through the defense. 64 minutes into the game, Carricos's Rafael Nunes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emanuel Setúbal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Carlos Pacheco hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Carricos's André Martins tried to score from far away in the 69th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Luís Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Setúbal having to interfere. After 72 played minutes Caneiro got a freekick which was hit by António Maia. After some careless play in the Caneiro defense, Luís Luz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emanuel Setúbal. The Caneiro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emanuel Setúbal should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sebastião Delgado in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquim Alves saved Carricos from getting behind. Daniel Domingues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Joaquim Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Carricos's Rogério Silva got a free kick in the 90th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sebastião Delgado in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquim Alves saved Carricos from getting behind. If Daniel Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquim Alves made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Daniel Domingues sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Carricos fans cheered their team off the field, for while Caneiro had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
