The referee ignored SC Padescas's protests and gave Ricardo Barros a yellow card for diving instead. SC Padescas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Afonso Viegas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 38 minutes into the game, Ricardo Barros recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Adelino Cardoso. Ricardo Barros showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. SC Alcafaz's Adelino Cardoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Viegas in the 48th minute of play.
