Liteiros's Eduardo Assunção got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The attack was good, but when Albertino Paiva in the 34th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Joaquim Lisboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Pinho having to interfere. Venade FC's Tomás Cardoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Venade FC from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Venade FC's Tomás Cardoso got control of the ball when Eduardo Assunção tried to sneak it across the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Rogério Pires hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute of the match Adolfo Alves sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tomás Cardoso skillfully saved the ball. Cristiano Pinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Lisboa in the 86th minute of the match. If Eduardo Assunção had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eduardo Assunção struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Tomás Cardoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liteiros.
