Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Venade FC's Joaquim Lisboa started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Joaquim Lisboa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Pires read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. After 6th play minutes Jorge Aleixo shot 1-0, a short shot which went by David Pires and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 9th minute, Joaquim Lisboa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. David Pires was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After a rather tough play, Arnalha FC's Cristiano Freitas got a free kick in the 13th minute. After some careless play in the Venade FC defense, Inácio Garcia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tomás Cardoso. The Venade FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tomás Cardoso should have stopped the shot. Cláudio Ferreira charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cláudio Ferreira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cláudio Ferreira hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute of the match Júlio Rodrigues shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tomás Cardoso showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Jorge Aleixo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tomás Cardoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Inácio Garcia's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Cláudio Ferreira hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. A hard and well directed shot from Júlio Rodrigues led 32 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Venade FC's Tomás Cardoso became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 2-2. If Ricardo Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Inácio Garcia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tomás Cardoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ricardo Rocha in the 52nd minute. Jorge Aleixo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. David Pires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Inácio Garcia succeeded in the game's 62nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-3. Arnalha FC's David Pires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Aleixo in the 67th minute of play. Joaquim Coelho kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Venade FC's goalkeeper Tomás Cardoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. David Pires took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Aleixo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Arnalha FC's zone, Jorge Aleixo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Pires came out of the goal and Jorge Aleixo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 86th minute Jorge Aleixo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
