Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Tiago Pacheco started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Bernardo Borges recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ricardo Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Vítor Guarda fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venda FC's protests and gave Vítor Guarda a yellow card for diving instead. Vítor Guarda hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After having played for 15 minutes, Bernardo Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Orelhudo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardo Borges was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Orelhudo FC's Ricardo Paiva got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bernardo Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Adolfo Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardo Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the game, Rodrigo Abreu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Pedro Sousa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In a very dangerous position, a player in Orelhudo FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 39th minute. Penalty! Ricardo Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernardo Borges made a kick off. Rodrigo Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Pedro Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Orelhudo FC booed when Venda FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Morais didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 59 played minutes Venda FC got a freekick which was hit by Bento Borba. Adolfo Coelho acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 60th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Adelino Leiria. When Venda FC's Rodrigo Abreu in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Orelhudo FC's goalie prevented a goal. Orelhudo FC's Pedro Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Abreu in the 64th minute of play. After having played for 68 minutes, Bernardo Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Orelhudo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardo Borges was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedro Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Abreu in the 75th minute of the match. Rodrigo Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Pedro Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute Tiago Pacheco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardo Borges might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adolfo Coelho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernardo Borges ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 95th minute, Bernardo Borges got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Orelhudo FC's Pedro Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Pacheco in the 98th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, Venda FC could leave the field as winners, despite Orelhudo FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
