Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Afonso Carneiro took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute of the match Paulo Lima shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedro Sousa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bernardo Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Fábio Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardo Paiva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Fábio Rodrigues made a huge save. After 9 minutes, Joaquim Branco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Faiao and the Orelhudo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 9 played minutes Faiao got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Branco. Joaquim Branco hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Ricardo Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Fábio Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernardo Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Miguel Pacheco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Sousa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Afonso Carneiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Sousa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Afonso Carneiro ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 23rd minute Miguel Pacheco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miguel Pacheco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 27th minute, Afonso Carneiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Ricardo Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 32 played minutes Orelhudo FC got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Santarém. After a rather tough play, Faiao's Adolfo Ribeiro got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 36th match minute, Orelhudo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Borges to maneuver through the defense. Joaquim Branco got his second yellow card in the match during the 40th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 40th match minute, Faiao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Branco to maneuver through the defense. After 46 played minutes Orelhudo FC got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Paiva.

Faiao's Afonso Carneiro got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ricardo Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fábio Rodrigues having to interfere. Adolfo Ribeiro hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Bernardo Borges struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Fábio Rodrigues didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Orelhudo FC. Ricardo Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fábio Rodrigues having to interfere. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Orelhudo FC's goalkeeper Pedro Sousa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Paulo Gonçalves, 79 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Miguel Pacheco took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Sousa. Pedro Sousa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Adolfo Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Pedro Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Ricardo Paiva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 96 minutes into the game, Bernardo Borges cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Fábio Rodrigues was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Faiao supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Faiao would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
