David Delgado took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gil Antunes. Negreda's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 27 played minutes Negreda got a freekick which was hit by Alexandre Mendes. SC Alfergemil's Rogério Carneiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save SC Alfergemil from getting a goal against them. 43 minutes into the match, Cândido Cabral notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Negreda's Gil Antunes. Gil Antunes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Armindo Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cândido Cabral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Cândido Cabral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gil Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rogério Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from António Carneiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Gil Antunes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cândido Cabral showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 73 minute of play. If Cândido Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 84 minutes, António Carneiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Negreda and the SC Alfergemil players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 84th match minute, Negreda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Carneiro to maneuver through the defense. After 88 played minutes SC Alfergemil got a freekick which was hit by Armindo Amorim. 91 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when SC Alfergemil's António Martins fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. In the 92nd minute, Alexandre Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SC Alfergemil had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
