Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cândido Cabral started the match with the kick off. After 2 played minutes SC Alfergemil got a freekick which was hit by Armindo Amorim. When Rodrigo Pacheco fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Alfergemil's protests and gave Rodrigo Pacheco a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th match minute, SC Alfergemil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Pacheco to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling António Martins in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nuno Paiva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rogério Carneiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cândido Cabral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nuno Paiva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. 14 minutes into the game, one of SC Meijinhos:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Rogério Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Silva in the 21st minute of the match. Cândido Cabral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Nuno Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, SC Meijinhos's goal looked a bit too open when Cândido Cabral came free, but Nuno Paiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 27 played minutes SC Meijinhos got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Queirós. The audience was convinced that Paulo Silva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rogério Carneiro was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Nuno Paiva came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by SC Alfergemil's António Martins. But to his dismay, António Martins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. David Delgado hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute of the match Eusébio Leal shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rogério Carneiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 42 minutes into the match, SC Meijinhos's goal looked a bit too open when Cândido Cabral came free, but Nuno Paiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SC Meijinhos's Paulo Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 47 minutes into the match, Cândido Cabral dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nuno Paiva, 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulo Silva was the one to do the kick off. Paulo Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to SC Alfergemil getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. David Delgado hit a great ball. Armindo Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. António Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, SC Meijinhos's Eusébio Leal got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Carlos Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Rogério Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Alfergemil's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Paulo Silva scored to the left of an out of position Rogério Carneiro, making the score, 3-1. Nuno Paiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from António Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If António Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. António Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rogério Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. After 92 played minutes, SC Alfergemil's Rogério Magalhães shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nuno Paiva came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Alfergemil reached it. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Meijinhos's goalkeeper Nuno Paiva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. António Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Nuno Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustavo Matias kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. SC Alfergemil's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
