Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) After some careless play in the SC Purgacal defense, Gabriel Ribeiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardo Reis. The SC Purgacal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Reis should have stopped the shot. A collision led to SC Purgacal getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Afonso Guarda hit a great ball. Ricardo Reis came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Resouro's Gabriel Ribeiro. But to his dismay, Gabriel Ribeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. SC Purgacal's Afonso Guarda got his second yellow card of the match in the 17th minute. The referee ordered Afonso Guarda off the ground. In the 17th match minute, SC Purgacal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonso Guarda to maneuver through the defense. Gabriel Ribeiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricardo Reis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gabriel Ribeiro ran back to his position shaking his head. If Joel Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the game, Gabriel Ribeiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Ricardo Reis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Joel Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Resouro's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Mendes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Reis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Joel Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute Gabriel Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabriel Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Ricardo Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Mendes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Resouro's zone, Mariano Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Óscar Araújo came out of the goal and Mariano Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Óscar Araújo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristóvão Moutinho in the 52nd minute of play. The supporters of Resouro booed when SC Purgacal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariano Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Resouro's Joel Mendes got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nuno Pereira kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, SC Purgacal's goalkeeper Ricardo Reis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gabriel Ribeiro. Cristóvão Moutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Resouro's Nuno Pereira got a free kick in the 70th minute. Resouro's Óscar Araújo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristóvão Moutinho in the 84th minute of play. Gabriel Ribeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Ricardo Reis made a huge save. Joel Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Ricardo Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Resouro supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Resouro would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
