Joaquim Cruz hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustavo Silva got free with Vítor Veiga in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 20 minutes into the match, Pombeiras FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amadeu Viana came free, but Duarte Dantas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 21 played minutes Pombeiras FC got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Faria. Duarte Dantas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mariano Pinheiro's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Gustavo Silva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Vítor Veiga made a huge save. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
