Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Alexandre Nunes started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. With his leg José Sousa managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Pombeiras FC's Gonçalo Nascimento fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Gonçalo Nascimento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Sousa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th minute Abel Moura collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. After 11 minutes, Tomás Tavares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Amareleja and the Pombeiras FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Amareleja's Tomás Tavares got a free kick in the 12th minute. Manuel Nascimento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 17 minutes into the match, Amareleja's goalkeeper José Sousa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gonçalo Nascimento. When Amareleja's Manuel Nascimento in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pombeiras FC's goalie prevented a goal. 22 minutes into the game, Nuno Delgado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pombeiras FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Amareleja the free kick. The supporters of Amareleja booed when Pombeiras FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nuno Delgado didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Amareleja's Manuel Nascimento got a free kick in the 32nd minute. The long shot by Bruno Teixeira in the 35th minute really tested José Sousa's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Bruno Teixeira hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Gaspar Rodrigues struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Duarte Dantas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Amareleja. If Manuel Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Duarte Dantas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Simões, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Manuel Nascimento made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Armando Assis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 53rd match minute, Amareleja was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Simões to maneuver through the defense. 58 minutes into the match, Gonçalo Nascimento had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of José Sousa. Amareleja's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gonçalo Nascimento was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Manuel Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bruno Teixeira's late challenge caught a Amareleja's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bruno Teixeira helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Pombeiras FC's Bruno Teixeira got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Gil Amaral charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gil Amaral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Pombeiras FC booed when Amareleja was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gil Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albertino Matos, 72 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Tomás Tavares hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. 85 minutes into the match, Gonçalo Nascimento notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Amareleja's José Sousa. José Sousa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 91 minutes into the match, Pombeiras FC's goalkeeper Duarte Dantas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gil Amaral. The Pombeiras FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
