Henrique Simões didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Inácio Gaspar went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Domingues in the 13th minute of play forced SC Marreiros's goalkeeper Henrique Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexandre Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrique Simões having to interfere. In the 16th minute Alexandre Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrique Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heitor Brás, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 21st minute, Heitor Brás fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Carlos Marques, passed just outside the right post. After some careless play in the SC Marreiros defense, Miguel Domingues kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Henrique Simões. The SC Marreiros fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Henrique Simões should have stopped the shot. Carlos Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heitor Brás, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. When Alexandre Sousa came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Bolhas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandre Sousa couldn't finish the play. If Alexandre Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 52nd minute, Bolhas's Alexandre Sousa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. 55 minutes into the game, SC Marreiros's Lucas Simões nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Marques made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Fernando Faria kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Lucas Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Carlos Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Marques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Simões in the 64th minute of the match. Carlos Marques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heitor Brás, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 68 minutes, Lucas Simões managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Marreiros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Simões was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Heitor Brás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bolhas's goalkeeper Carlos Marques, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Miguel Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the game, Alexandre Sousa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Henrique Simões was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Miguel Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Heitor Brás managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Marreiros's supporters rose to their feet, but Heitor Brás was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Marques breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 93 minutes into the match, Lucas Simões notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Bolhas's Carlos Marques. Carlos Marques was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Bolhas players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
