Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Afonso Ferro made the kick off and thus started the match. When Viriato Viegas fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Espalhafatos FC's protests and gave Viriato Viegas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 2nd minute, Viriato Viegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Júlio Gueifão kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Gaspar Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Américo Resende in the 9th minute of play. In the 12th minute of the match Carlos Morais sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gaspar Maia skillfully saved the ball. Afonso Ferro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Maia having to interfere. Américo Resende sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 23 played minutes SC Gaiteiras got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Gueifão. Espalhafatos FC's Afonso Ferro managed to work through SC Gaiteiras's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Afonso Ferro dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. If Júlio Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xavier Amaro came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Gaiteiras's Fernando Ferreira. But to his dismay, Fernando Ferreira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Gaspar Maia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Ferro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 40 played minutes SC Gaiteiras got a freekick which was hit by Duarte Fontes. After having played for 45 minutes, Júlio Simões managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Gaiteiras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Júlio Simões was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Gaspar Maia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso Ferro in the 57th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Afonso Ferro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gaspar Maia, 2-1. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 69th minute of the game. One of Espalhafatos FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Gaiteiras:s goal. Xavier Amaro had in the 70thth minute some difficulties stopping Tomás Torres's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 74 minutes into the match, SC Gaiteiras's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Ferro came free, but Gaspar Maia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xavier Amaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júlio Simões, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Júlio Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xavier Amaro having to interfere. Afonso Ferro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Júlio Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Espalhafatos FC's Tiago Setúbal got a free kick in the 94th minute. Júlio Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Xavier Amaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaspar Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonso Ferro in the 100th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SC Gaiteiras had won after a very even match.
