Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Joaquim Gomes kicked off to start the match. Filipe Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. José Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joaquim Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Joaquim Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Macinhata's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquim Gomes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albertino Assunção breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joaquim Gomes struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Albertino Assunção didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Macinhata. Albertino Assunção showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Gomes in the 19th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute Filipe Oliveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albertino Assunção didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fernando Costa went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernando Costa got free with Albertino Assunção in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fernando Costa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albertino Assunção read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. After 40 played minutes SC Botelhas got a freekick which was hit by Vítor Aleixo. In the 43rd minute, Joaquim Gomes fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. With an all-out effort, SC Macinhata's Albertino Assunção threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joaquim Gomes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. José Monteiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Ribeiro in the 48th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Duarte Trindade made the kick off in the second half. If Fernando Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute Joaquim Gomes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albertino Assunção saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the game, Joel Ribeiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Botelhas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Macinhata the free kick. In the 57th match minute, SC Botelhas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Ribeiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th minute, Fernando Costa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Albertino Assunção was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Duarte Trindade in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Monteiro saved SC Macinhata from getting behind. After 74 played minutes SC Macinhata got a freekick which was hit by Américo Borges. 78 minutes into the match, SC Botelhas's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Costa came free, but Albertino Assunção reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albertino Assunção took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fernando Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albertino Assunção having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Macinhata fans cheered their team off the field, for while SC Botelhas had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
