Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nuno Fontes started the match with the kick off. Nuno Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Augusto Tavares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lúcio Almeida in the 11th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Montedor FC's goal looked a bit too open when Inácio Baptista came free, but Pedro Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miguel Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 23rd minute, Inácio Baptista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Inácio Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Neto having to interfere. SC Meixide's Augusto Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Fontes in the 32nd minute of play. Lúcio Almeida blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Augusto Tavares having to make a save. When Lucas Branco fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Meixide's protests and gave Lucas Branco a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Montedor FC booed when SC Meixide was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. 42 minutes into the match, SC Meixide's goal looked a bit too open when Nuno Fontes came free, but Augusto Tavares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nuno Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Inácio Baptista to strike the kick off in the second half. When Nuno Fontes came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Montedor FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nuno Fontes couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Xavier Silva during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 66th match minute, SC Meixide was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xavier Silva to maneuver through the defense. Lúcio Almeida blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Augusto Tavares having to make a save. The Montedor FC fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when Montedor FC's Nuno Fontes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Nuno Fontes took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Augusto Tavares. Augusto Tavares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Basílio Lisboa's late challenge caught a SC Meixide's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Basílio Lisboa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th match minute, Montedor FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basílio Lisboa to maneuver through the defense. Montedor FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SC Meixide for a fine match.
