Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Nuno Fontes got the match started through his kick off. In the 2nd match minute, SC Ariciro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Pedroso to maneuver through the defense. Rui Henriques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Fontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Jaime Setúbal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Neto having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Jorge Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Neto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sérgio Paiva in the 13th minute of the match. In the 21st minute Lúcio Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Henriques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in SC Ariciro's zone, Nuno Fontes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rui Henriques came out of the goal and Nuno Fontes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 24 minutes into the game, Montedor FC's Lúcio Almeida nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rui Henriques made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When SC Ariciro's Sérgio Paiva in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Montedor FC's goalie prevented a goal. SC Ariciro's Rui Henriques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Fontes in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes into the game, Bento Miranda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Ariciro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Montedor FC the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Montedor FC's zone, Jaime Setúbal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Neto came out of the goal and Jaime Setúbal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 43 played minutes Montedor FC got a freekick which was hit by Basílio Lisboa. With his leg Pedro Neto managed to avoid a goal in the 44thth minute, when SC Ariciro's Jaime Setúbal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 47th minute, Lúcio Almeida got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sérgio Paiva to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lúcio Almeida got free with Rui Henriques in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Sérgio Paiva came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the SC Ariciro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sérgio Paiva couldn't finish the play. Sérgio Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Pedro Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nuno Fontes in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rui Henriques saved SC Ariciro from getting behind. Lúcio Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Rui Henriques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jaime Setúbal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Neto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sérgio Paiva in the 93rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Lúcio Almeida could shoot a difficult shot in the 95th minute, which Rui Henriques however easily saved by the left post. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Montedor FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
