Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Tiago Leite started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Gonçalo Resende charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gonçalo Resende the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 5th minute there was a penalty for Monfalim FC. Cristiano Porto stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Luís Reis. 1-0. A collision led to Monfalim FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Oliveira Faria hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fábio Barros in the 17th minute of play forced Monfalim FC's goalkeeper André Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute, Lúcio Ribeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. André Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fábio Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Pedroso got free with Luís Reis in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Armada FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Diamantino Mota hit a great ball. When Tiago Leite came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Monfalim FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiago Leite couldn't finish the play. Lúcio Ribeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but André Brito read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Lúcio Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. André Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Armada FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Luís Pedroso fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Monfalim FC's André Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fábio Barros in the 39th minute of play. In the 46th minute of the match Gonçalo Resende shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but André Brito showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. André Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lúcio Ribeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lúcio Ribeiro to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fábio Barros got free with André Brito in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Oliveira Faria kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Armada FC's Fábio Barros got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 62 minutes into the game, João Alves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Armada FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Monfalim FC the free kick. A collision led to Armada FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. João Alves hit a great ball. 64 minutes into the match, Armada FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Pedroso came free, but Luís Reis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Tiago Leite fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Monfalim FC's protests and gave Tiago Leite a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Armada FC booed when Monfalim FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiago Leite didn't get a good kick on the ball. André Brito made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Fábio Barros sent off a good shot on target. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luís Reis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 98 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Oliveira Faria sped through Armada FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luís Reis. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Monfalim FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Armada FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
