With an all-out effort, Amieirinha FC's Oliveira Baptista threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bento Porto, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The crowd rose to their feet as Amieirinha FC's Bento Porto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Oliveira Baptista. That made the score 1-0 after 16 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Campos in the 21st minute of play forced Amieirinha FC's goalkeeper Emílio Fontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oliveira Baptista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bento Porto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vítor Campos hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After 38 played minutes Barbito got a freekick which was hit by Marco Vaz. After 39 played minutes, Amieirinha FC's Manuel Carvalho shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Oliveira Baptista came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Amieirinha FC reached it. In the 46th minute, Emanuel Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henrique Machado to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Vítor Campos made a precise shot to the right of Emílio Fontes. Amieirinha FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 59th minute, Vicente Tavares made a precise shot to the right of Oliveira Baptista. Barbito's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 65th minute, Bento Porto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oliveira Baptista was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Barbito's Oliveira Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Tavares in the 69th minute of play. Bento Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Fernando Mendes fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Amieirinha FC's protests and gave Fernando Mendes a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Amieirinha FC's Fernando Mendes got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Henrique Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Fontes having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Barbito's Henrique Machado slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Emílio Fontes. That made the score 3-2 after 87 minutes of play.
