Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Júlio Pinheiro got the match started through his kick off. In the 6th minute, SC Palma's Júlio Pinheiro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Hélder Aguiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Bessa in the 14th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Júlio Pinheiro took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Albertino Brás to make any attempt to save it. After 21 played minutes SC Palma got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Trindade. When SC Ceissa's Basílio Pacheco in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Afonso Trindade, 37 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The supporters of SC Palma booed when SC Ceissa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lourenço Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. Afonso Trindade kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Carlos Bessa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hélder Aguiar. SC Palma's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Albertino Brás made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júlio Pinheiro in the 43rd minute of play. When Pedro Bessa came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the SC Ceissa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Bessa couldn't finish the play. Lourenço Lima hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Basílio Pacheco to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in SC Ceissa's zone, Júlio Pinheiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albertino Brás came out of the goal and Júlio Pinheiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Júlio Pinheiro in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Albertino Brás saved SC Ceissa from getting behind. After 82 played minutes Basílio Pacheco rounded SC Palma's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-2. If Pedro Bessa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Bessa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hélder Aguiar.
