Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Alfredo Domingues made the kick off which started today's match. With an all-out effort, SC Pombal's Hélder Aguiar threw himself towards the right post 7 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alfredo Domingues, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 12th minute Nuno Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gil Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute of the match SC Palma got a corner. SC Pombal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Afonso Trindade ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, SC Palma's Cristiano Vale got a free kick in the 15th minute. Gil Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júlio Pinheiro in the 19th minute of play. Gil Vieira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júlio Pinheiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Nuno Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Júlio Pinheiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gil Vieira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Júlio Pinheiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hélder Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Domingues in the 34th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, SC Pombal's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Pinheiro came free, but Gil Vieira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Jesus charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Jesus the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th minute, João Jesus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Afonso Trindade could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Hélder Aguiar made a huge save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Júlio Pinheiro made a kick off. Júlio Pinheiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 56 minutes into the match, Nuno Carneiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gil Vieira. SC Pombal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nuno Carneiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Pinheiro in the 60th minute of play forced SC Pombal's goalkeeper Gil Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gil Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio Pinheiro in the 63rd minute of the match. Nuno Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of SC Palma booed when SC Pombal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fábio Brás didn't get a good kick on the ball. Afonso Trindade shot from long distance in the 71st minute, but Gil Vieira was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. 72 minutes into the match, SC Pombal's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Pinheiro came free, but Gil Vieira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th match minute, SC Palma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Lima to maneuver through the defense. SC Pombal's Oliveira Barros got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristiano Vale hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. 87 minutes into the match, Afonso Trindade notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of SC Palma's Hélder Aguiar. Hélder Aguiar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
