After 7 played minutes Mortena FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Paiva. Ricardo Cunha hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. David Assis kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Calhariz FC's goal looked a bit too open when Inácio Ferreira came free, but Sandro Antunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 24 played minutes Mortena FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Ferreira. In the 30th match minute, Mortena FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simão Moura to maneuver through the defense. 34 minutes into the match, Mortena FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Matias came free, but José Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ricardo Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. José Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute Marco Maia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandro Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 43 minutes, André Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Calhariz FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but André Esteves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Inácio Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandro Antunes having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Inácio Ferreira to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Marco Maia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sandro Antunes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Inácio Ferreira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mortena FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Inácio Ferreira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sandro Antunes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. José Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Cunha in the 64th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Cunha in the 77th minute of play forced Mortena FC's goalkeeper José Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd match minute, Mortena FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspar Machado to maneuver through the defense.
