Cristiano Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xavier Porto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When André Valente came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Sudro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Valente couldn't finish the play. After 19 played minutes Sudro got a freekick which was hit by Xavier Porto. A hard shot by Humberto Carneiro from long distance, 20 minutes into the match, got Heitor Costa's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. André Valente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Cristiano Abreu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If André Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Ricardo Paiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calhetas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardo Paiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Heitor Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 31 played minutes Sudro got a freekick which was hit by Xavier Porto. Sudro's Paulo Mendes got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulo Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Abreu having to interfere. António Gueifão hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. The supporters of Sudro booed when Calhetas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Faria didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Calhetas FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sudro were winning 0-1.

In the 58thth minute of the game Paulo Mendes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Calhetas FC's Cristiano Abreu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 95 played minutes Sudro got a freekick which was hit by Amadeu Tavares. The Calhetas FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sudro were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
