Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Vicente Azevedo got the match started through his kick off. SC Mealha's Abel Anjos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Azevedo in the 5th minute of play. Jorge Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Jorge Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cândido Alves charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cândido Alves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SC Mealha booed when SC Pinelo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cândido Alves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abel Anjos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Azevedo in the 16th minute of play. In the 17thth minute of the game Vicente Azevedo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Mealha's Abel Anjos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. SC Mealha's Abel Anjos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Azevedo in the 21st minute of play. Carlos Lisboa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlos Lisboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute, SC Mealha's Jorge Castro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jorge Lima. Jorge Lima yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Domingos Fontes struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Jorge Lima didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Mealha. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Domingos Fontes managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Mealha's supporters rose to their feet, but Domingos Fontes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Lima breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. SC Mealha's Jorge Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abel Anjos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Lisboa in the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After a defensive mix-up in SC Pinelo's zone, Jorge Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Lima came out of the goal and Jorge Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Domingos Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Jorge Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 56 minutes, Alberto Assunção mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Pinelo and the SC Mealha players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of SC Mealha booed when SC Pinelo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Assunção didn't get a good kick on the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Jorge Castro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jorge Lima. SC Pinelo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jorge Castro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 62nd minute Jorge Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingos Fontes in the 63rd minute of play forced SC Pinelo's goalkeeper Jorge Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorge Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, Cândido Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Domingos Fontes kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Domingos Fontes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Jorge Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Basílio Jesus during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Cândido Alves was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 80 minutes had been played. In the 81st match minute, SC Pinelo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cândido Alves to maneuver through the defense. Abel Anjos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. If Carlos Lisboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abel Anjos was out of position in the 87 minute of play, and Carlos Lisboa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Carlos Lisboa really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. If Carlos Lisboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute, Basílio Jesus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Basílio Jesus was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 96 minutes had been played.
